Anayla Fontán Núñez

After rescuing her beloved pitbull mix, Marek, and experiencing some aggression issues, Anayla’s passion for dog training and behavior modification was ignited. She studied Natural Sciences, majoring in Coastal Marine Biology at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao. However, Anayla felt unfulfilled in her previous jobs and decided to pursue her dream of becoming a dog trainer.

Through online studies, working with other trainers, and attending seminars, Anayla gained valuable knowledge and experience. She then had the opportunity to complete a six-month internship with Highland Canine Training, where she trained various types of service dogs. Anayla found this experience incredibly rewarding, as she witnessed the positive impact a well-trained dog can have on individuals and their families. She also worked with other divisions of Highland Canine Training, further expanding her expertise in detection, patrol work, and resolving behavior problems. Anayla has completed the Master Dog Trainer Program at the School for Dog Trainers and is excited to bring her knowledge and training methods back to Puerto Rico.
